This Data Retention Policy explains how MEGAVERZ PVT LTD (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, stores, manages, and deletes user data across the MEGASCORES™ sports-engagement platform. Our goal is to retain only the information necessary to deliver services effectively, comply with legal obligations, and maintain a safe, secure environment for users and creators.

1. Purpose of Data Retention

MEGASCORES™ retains data only for legitimate business, security, operational, or compliance needs. We avoid excessive, unnecessary, or indefinite storage of personal data. All retention timelines are designed to support:

Platform functionality & personalization

Safety monitoring & content moderation

User support, reporting, and dispute resolution

Legal, regulatory, and security requirements

2. Types of Data We Retain and Duration
a. Account Information

Includes name, email, username, age confirmation, and settings.
Retention: Stored until the user deletes their account or remains inactive for a defined period (36 months). After deletion, data is anonymized within 30–60 days.

b. User-Generated Content (UGC)

Photos, videos, comments, posts, likes, interactions.
Retention: Available until the user deletes it or deletes their account. Backups may remain for up to 90 days for security, moderation, and restoration purposes.

c. Device & Technical Logs

IP addresses, device type, crash logs, diagnostics, usage metrics.
Retention: 12–24 months to improve performance, resolve issues, detect abuse, and maintain platform stability.

d. Communication & Support Tickets

Emails, reports, safety complaints, moderation logs.
Retention: 12–36 months, depending on severity and legal requirements.

e. Cookies & Local Storage Data

Browser cookies, preferences, cached data.
Retention: Session-based or up to 12 months, depending on user settings. Users may clear them anytime through browser controls.

f. Legal & Compliance Data

Records created to comply with regulatory, law-enforcement, or safety requests.
Retention: As required by Indian law, typically 3–7 years, or until obligations are fulfilled.

3. Data Deletion & User Rights

Users may request:

Account deletion

Correction of personal data

Removal of uploaded content

Upon request:

Account data is erased or anonymized within 30–60 days

UGC is removed immediately unless it is part of legal evidence or ongoing investigations

Backups may take up to 90 days to fully purge due to system architecture

4. Exceptions to Deletion

We may retain certain information longer when required for:

Fraud prevention

Safety investigations

Legal compliance

Enforcing platform policies

Protecting MEGASCORES™ and its users

This retention is minimal and purpose-restricted.

5. Policy Updates

MEGAVERZ PVT LTD may update this Data Retention Policy based on product evolution, legal changes, or infrastructure updates. All changes will reflect a revised “Last Updated” date.
